Privacy Policy
What we collect, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it. Written to match what the software actually does.

The short version
- We do not sell your data, and we do not run an ad network of our own.
- Most tools work without an account and without storing anything about you. You can calculate a full kundali without telling us who you are.
- Analytics and advertising cookies load only if you accept them. If you decline, or simply never answer, they are never loaded at all.
- Some things you type do leave our servers — most importantly, AI name-generation requests go to a language-model provider. The table below says exactly who gets what.
- Email us and we will delete your data. See the deletion section.
What we collect

Who else receives it
We use the following services to run the site. We do not sell data to anyone, and none of these are advertising brokers acting on our behalf beyond what is listed.
Vercel
Hosts the website itself.
Receives: Standard request data, including your IP address, for serving pages.
Our own server (OVH, France)
Runs the API and the PostgreSQL database.
Receives: Everything listed in the table above that is stored.
Google Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic
Generates name suggestions. Which one is used depends on configuration.
Receives: The text of your name-generation request, which may include birth or astrological details you entered.
Resend
Delivers our email.
Receives: Your email address and the content of the message being sent to you.
Google Analytics and Google AdSense
Usage measurement and advertising.
Receives: Standard analytics and advertising identifiers — but only if you accept cookies. Decline, and these are never loaded.
If you would rather no third party saw your birth details, use the kundali, moon sign and panchang calculators — those are computed by our own engine and are not sent to a language model. It is the AI name generator specifically that calls out.
How long we keep things
A daily job ages these out automatically. AI name-generation requests have their IP address and any birth details stripped after 30 days — what remains is the shape of the request, which tells us nothing about you — and the rows are deleted outright after 180 days. Search logs, which pair a query with an IP, are deleted after 90 days.
Accounts and email subscriptions are kept until you delete or unsubscribe. Anything you keep only in your browser — the shortlist, the theme — is yours to clear at any time.
Deleting your data
Email namaste@naamsetu.in and ask. We will delete your account, your subscription, and any request logs we can tie to you. You do not have to give a reason, and we will confirm when it is done.
Every horoscope email also carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your theme, and record your cookie choice. These are always set, because the site cannot work without them.
Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) are set only after you press Accept. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer; declining after having accepted clears the analytics cookies we can reach and reloads the page.
Children
This site is for adults choosing names, and accounts are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect data from a child. A baby's birth details entered into a calculator are not stored unless you save them to your own account.
Changes and contact
